A drug interactions database (Lexicomp) finds that duloxetine and gabapentin are compatible. That being said, it is safe to taper off duloxetine, especially if you have been on it for 5 or more weeks, to reduce discontinuation syndrome. One option is to "Reduce gradually duloxetine over at least 1–2 weeks; studies used 50% decrease at week 1 and then an additional 50% decrease over week 2."

Likely, you do not need the duloxetine, and slow tapering off would likely be successful. If at that point gabapentin were not fully effective, would switch to pregabalin which works far better, but make these decisions sequentially, as you proceed.
