I am suffering from maxillary sinitius (i have only mild symptoms). doctor has given me antihistamine tablets and antihistamine nasal spray. but i noticed only a slight improvement in past 2 weeks. any better treatment suggested or this will be fine?

It depends on what is causing the sinusitis. The antihistamine is for allergy; and removing the source of the allergy or limiting dust may help in addition to the medication. If there is infection, it may take time for the body to contain the infection if you are not taking anything else to fight the infection.
