My haptoglobin level is elevated, at 2.65 g/L (ref. 0.17-2.00). Is this in and of itself a cause for concern (e.g. cancer)? I have also been experiencing low iron/hemoglobin/hematocrit for some time. Kidney/liver function normal. GI tract is clear.
Got iron test done. Iron was 37, Transferrin was 309.0 but Iron saturation was only 9. What does this mean and should I be worried?
