My 73 yo mother is hospitalized following a spinal surgery. there was an iv extravasation that occurred and it was not reported and i was lied to that it was sodium chloride when it was vancomycin. about 230 ml infused in about 75 min. please advise?

Will likely get local swelling and irritation, lasting 5-7 days. However, vancomycin is not especially caustic and should not get tissue necrosis (local tissue death). May (May) be more severe local reaction if your mother is especially thin or has thin, frail skin.
