Velamentous cord insertion? the risk for both me and baby? im super scared. im 26 weeks, doctor is not 100 sure, she said almost looks to be velamentous. a mfm will see me in two weeks, what risks can this post for both of us? ty?

If velamentous cord insertion is confirmed you need to be monitored closely and fetal growth is assessed every 4 weeks by US. Case is more risky if vasa previa is present. Risks for both of you are high, you will need to be cared by high risk OB team.
