A member asked:

My friends ldl is 101 and was tested under non fasted ldl. however, he was fasted during the blood test. he's 22 years old male and was wondering if it makes a difference if the test was marked as non fasted instead of fasted?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, fasting or non-fasting LDL of 101 is normal. Wish you good health!
