If going on for more than a week or 2, professional counseling can help (psychologist, psychiatrist). Maybe an antidepressant. Seek help before this becomes an ingrained pattern

Research indicates with psychotherapy you can change & find better coping mechanisms. Please see a Psychiatrist for medication.
