Prednisone will cause salt and water retention. If you have healthy kidneys any salt in the gaterade shouldn't present a problem for you but I wouldn't overdo it.

Gatorade will not interfere with the prednisone effectiveness so it is fine to drink Gatorade while taking prednisone. Hope you feel better real soon!
