Losing weight at your age is not normal unless you are trying to and has to be investigated promptly with your physician. The changes that you see at the hand level reflect loss of connective tissue and it is reflective of weight loss until proven otherwise.

If you are losing weight on purpose, what you are seeing is normal. If the weight loss is unintentional, you ought to consult a doctor and may need to be evaluated by a GI doctor. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Wish you good health!
