Recently i have had a cholecystectomy. doctor said i have symptoms of pancreatitis as i feel itching in my back at the bottom tip of my right shoulder blade & adviced me to take enzymes orally. i have been taking it for 4 months, still facing same?

You can also take care of local skin conditions causing itching like dry skin, fungal infection, dry flaky skin, also itching begets itching so try to apply ice or pressure instead of itching. Lactocalamine may help. Follow with your doctor..Hope it helps

Time to review diagnosis. Localized itching suggests more of a skin condition or local inflammation. You still might need pancreatic enzymes in case you have been diagnosed with pancreatic insufficiency. Following up with same doc will help in clarifying.
