This antibiotic has been approved by the FDA and in common use since 2006. When used appropriately there are few if any side effects.

All medications have side effects. For example some people are allergic to aspirin. OTC vitamins may contain substances that don't work well with your system. That said your Physician needs to treat your infection, and he/she feels cephalexin is the best choice. Trust his/her tens of thousands of hours training and years of experience instead of a 5 minute search engine question. Ask your doctor.
