Im taking cephalexin for internal eye stye. i seem to now have acquired a sinus infection. will i need yet another antibiotic? or will the cephalexin help both conditions.

Sinus symptoms: Most sinus congestion problems and drainage are due to viral infections or allergy, neither of which is helped by any antibiotic. But if you do have a bacterial sinus infection, cephalexin usually would work, but not necessarily. Check back with your doctor if the sinus symptoms continue for a few days while taking cephalexin. And maybe add a nasal saline spray.
