A member asked:

Nerves too sensitized to take a shower or exercise, messages, listen to music. these activities spur acute panic attacks. no phobias. is this depression

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Panic: Most people who experience panic attacks are hypersensitive to sensations/activities/food & drinks that mimic panic sensations such as hot showers, caffeine, vigorous exercise etc. This is more symptomatic of anxiety and panic, not depression. Cognitive behavioral therapy is meant to break the association between thoughts, panic (fear response), and physical sensations that we all experience.
