For the past 6+ years i've been feeling a strong heartbeat that i've never felt before this period. i've done a blood test, a 24 hour holter monitor and nothing unusual was found. resting heart rate around 75. onset began during grad school?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

It could be anything from anxiety to a cardiac or endocrine problem. It would be best to see your PMD who will examine you and then order any laboratory or other imaging tests that is felt to be necessary
