ANYTIME TISSUE IS SURGICALLY REMOVED FROM A BODY THAN IT IS THE STANDARD OF CARE TO BIOPSY IT. IT COULD BE PRECANCEROUS,CANCEROUS OR NON-CANCEROUS. POLYPS CAN BE ANY OF THE PREVIOUS. NEXT VISIT IN THREE YEARS IS CORRECT. ASK FOR BIOPSY.

The standard of care calls for examination of all tissues removed, from a patient. by a pathologist. Not doing that falls short of the standards of medical practice. If the polyps are benign, a five year interval would be sufficient. If the polyps have been discarded, you need to find a different doctor.
