I broke my capitate about a year ago, a few days ago i was doing some rigorous outside work and now it hurts again. it hurts to bend it and move my middle finger or if i put any pressure on it. it is likely that i may have re broken it?

Without a significant injury I doubt that your capitate bone rebroke. Do you have any significant swelling and tenderness at the area right below the third and fourth fingers or if you can feel the crepitus when palpating that area? If not, I strongly suspect you have some strain of the ligaments of the third finger when overused it. Take Ibuprofen 200 mg x 2 (OTC) q 6-8 hours prn for 1-3 days.

Yes very possible as capitate blood supply is limited and often distally based resulting in limited fusion of fracture . you need to see a hand surgeon for xrays and evaluation. Possible mri or CT scan.
