Can v low iron cause intense lower back pain that's like a sharp spasm only lasting 10ish sec's (sometimes a few bouts in a short space of time). i figure maybe it's stores trying to replenish the iron in the bone marrow?

I have never heard that before. I think you should see a doctor. The back spasm can be the result of several things, not just spinal pain.

Central sharp like pin stabbing in lower central chest at that bone. Pain radiates like a shock to jaw lasting seconds at a time. Standing upright brings it on. Norm cardiac workup. Low iron.
