A member asked:

All childhood blood disorders that cause bone marrow to produce cells but slowly, low red cells white and platelets, b12 and iron are all in range?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many conditions: Pancytopenia, or decrease in rbc, wbc, and platelets can be genetic, like Fanconi anemia or Dyskeratosis congenital, that include other abnormalities. Acquired pancytopenia, besides low B12 and Folate, (folic acid) can be caused by a toxin, drugs, radiation, a viral infection, malnutrition and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). If a cause is not found, it is said to be idiopathic. I hope it resolves.
