I did my annual medicals last may, sgot was normal but sgbt was 61. my doctor says i should follow lifestyle modifications and drink lots of water to help bile activities. what do you recommend please?

I think you meant SGPT of 61. Drinking alcoholic beverages or taking certain medications within 12 hours before the blood test is likely the reason. SGPT (ALT) and SGOT (AST), SGPT is usually high with acute liver problem and SGOT is usually go along with chronic liver problem and the numbers vary a lot with repeated testing. Water intake or bile activity are less likely the etiology. Stop alcohol
