If examples of "OCD behavior" is written down and can be anticipated by the patient with alleged OCD disorder, this behavior can be intentionally changed and gradually reduced in frequency, but if unsuccessful, therapy is frequently helpful.

It’s difficult to treat OCD on your own, since differential diagnosis and expertise is needed. Medication combined with treatment can help. OCD needs to be distinguished from GAD that has similarities. When compulsion is involved, response prevention is an important part of the treatment. Relaxation training, meditation and EFT tapping can help. Reading Energy Tapping may help.

OCD treatments can be behavioral which are done alongside using licensed mental health providers but there are a lot of useful things online. Also things that include exercise and diet/nutrition can be helpful. If worsening where your life is being affected (work/school/family), a professional should be added.
