Hi my mother has copd and failure of the right side of the heart and blood clots she is on oxygen and it doesn't seem to help with shortness of breath how bad is this condition and how can i help what medication will help?

Low doses opiates, such as morphine work the best for shortness of breath in end stages of lung disease with benzos as an alternative. Talk to your mother’ s pulmonary specialist if she would be appropriate for the hospice benefit and/or adding a palliative care specialist in the community.
