Is it necessary to taper off doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for rosacea and acne? been on it 4 months, no positive results?

I wouldn't think so. Antibiotics are designed to assist your bodies germ fighting abilities with a target effect on susceptible germs. Stopping them just removes that assist process. These are not drugs people suffer withdrawal from from sudden stoppage.
