SD trial: I have read 50mg to 200mg. Subtherapeutic dosing is supposed to be effective due to the antiinflammatory effect of the tetracycline-type drugs without hopefully causing as much resistance and disruption of gut flora. Try for a few weeks to one month, if not allergic. Topical metronidazole and azelaic acid and laser therapy are also effective. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/458343_print
