Doxycycline: Doxycycline can be irritating on an empty stomach. If you find that's a problem, you can take it with food, except no milk or dairy products, and no calcium (e.g. many antacids). These interfere with doxy absorption and effectiveness; take them at least an hour apart. All other foods are OK. It usually takes a few weeks to see its benefit for rosacea.
