If this is "tachy-brady syndrome," it can be very serious due to symptoms as you describe. It is not uncommon for a pacemaker to be inserted to keep the heart rate from dropping too low, and a medication prescribed to keep the heart rate from climbing too high. You should discuss this with your Primary Care Provider or a Cardiologist.
