A member asked:

Why does the roof of my mouth feel numb? i noticed recently that when i run my tongue over the roof of mouth, i don't feel the usual tickling sensation, instead just a dull feeling of tongue running over roof of mouth. why is this?

Various reasons but a common one is burning the roof of your mouth (hot drinks) or your tongue. If not improving check with your dentist. Usually this is not long-lasting.

This can be caused by trauma, a virus, or a b urn, among other reasons. Should improve with time. If not, check in with your Den test. Referral to a n neurologist may then be in order.
