Unlikely to be tumor: Nothing is impossible but this would not be the first sign of a brain tumor. However, i would be concerned about possible dehydration and electroyte imbalances and adequate fluid intake. Please contact your pediatrician as intravenous fluids may be advised.

Lots of phlegm?: Many children collect mucousy secretions in nose and chest through the night. They often swallow it and develop a wad of phlegm in the morning that makes them throw up. Posterior fossa tumors such as medulloblastomas cause sudden empty vomiting for no apparent reason. Discuss these issues with your pediatrician. He can decide if further workup is warrented.
