there are some studies to show plaque regression these are usually involving Staten doses that are significantly high. As far as an other advantage of statins they have an anti-inflammatory effect on the lining of the arteries. In addition we all know that by lowering cholesterol with a Staten significantly reduces events such as heart attacks and strokes.
