Your age of 47 years is fine to undergo any type of surgery including the one you have asked about on your ankle replacement. But whether ankle replacement is the best treatment that can take care of your problem should be addressed by an Orthopedic surgeon.

It is possible to have some of the bones replaced but I would advise against it at this young age. You should see a competent orthopedic surgeon for an opinion about medical management or less severe or invasive surgical management.
