A member asked:

With venous transvserse sinus stenting, in bilateral transvserse stenosis is it better to stent the dominant or non dominant side?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Typically, the dominant side is stented, but studies have shown bilateral improvements even if the non-dominant side is stented, probably related to decreased subarachnoid pressure. 90% of stenosis are bilateral, and it is more common in females. The incidence is about 1 in 100,000m(Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, or IIH).
