A member asked:

Had celiac stent placed 2 years ago for significant stenosis. imaging now shows even worse stenosis and neointimal hyperplasia. is that likely as the result from the stent itself?

It is probable: Hello. Stents are placed to open the arteries, they are made of metal. Any kind of foreign material in the body have the potential to create a reaction in the body, in which the body rejects the foreign material, in this case the stent. There's also the possibility that the artery got clotted for high blood cholesterol which probably caused the stenosis in the first place.
