Can a needle emg showing bilateral c3 c4 c5 denervation be false positive? for example if a patient is anxious and is unconciously tensing muscles due to fear - could this affect measurements?

Not likely. Discuss with the Dr interpreting the EMG. I cannot see it here.

An EMG/ NCS, if properly done and interpreted provides results that are 100% objective, and patients cannot affect results by anxiety or muscular tension, or malingering. Since you seem hesitant to accept outcome, discuss the conclusions with the doctor who did the study, and ask if there is clinical correlation.
