No quick fix for this condition (torticollis or neck-shoulder syndrome) If you still have Ibuprofen, just take it every 6-8 hours with full stomach for 2-3 days. You can apply Salonpas (sold OTC) + local heat which may help a little more. A doctor can give you a muscle relaxant but it can make you sleepy or drowsy. You should exercise your neck daily and consider changing your pillow afterward.

The differential here is either a pinched nerve from an arthritic spur or bulging intervertebral disc or an irritated/inflamed muscle. If the pain is worse when you turn your neck toward the neck it's more likely a punched nerve. Turning away,means muscle. Wear a soft neck collar,take ibuprofen or naproxen. For muscle pain,I prefer warm applications. See MD or neurologist as needed.
