Translation= why did you order the test ? The interpreting doc can provide a more detailed response if they have information from the doc on why the test was done to begin with.

Clinical correlation is required in order to connect the test results with actual symptoms that triggered the respective test. In other words tests may rule out or rule in specific medical conditions. When they rule out specific disease, the ordering doc has to decide what would be next in the work up in order to determine actual cause for the symptoms and that is to clinically correlate results.
