HCG is detected only during pregnancy, but slow rise in amount may indicate pregnancy outside the uterus, or just late cycle conception with slow rise in HCG. Obtain another HCG in 7 days , and see your gyn physician if bleeding begins, for an exam if low levels of HCG persist.
