The decision to hospitalize a Covid Patient is made by an in person Dr who can examine the Patient and determine if supportive care (Oxygen, fluids, meds) would be helpful. Only 7.4% pf persons your age with Covid required hospitalization. 89.3% of them had some underlying condition such as High blood pressure, Obesity, Diabetes, Chronic lung disease or Heart problems.

The sooner one gets Medical Help, the better. Meanwhile, Stop All Cold Foods/Drinks. Take Fever medication, Drink only Hot/warm fluids. Gargle with warm salt water and do Steam Inhalation if possible . Add Zinc and Vitamin C if available and then go see the health care provider right away

If you are feeling unwell, now is the time to be evaluated by a doctor. Then you can decide together whether you can be managed at home or if you require inpatient care.

Please see your PCP, the fever is a usual symptom with COVID 19, but if your are in respiratory distress, admission is indicated. Watch for trends in your O2 saturation and if there is a decline, please see the hospital. Milder cases may be managed by your PCP as an outpatient.
