Hi, this question is not really medical related but, i have applied to do biomedical science or neuroscience. i would love to purse a medical career of either a doctor or a surgeon and i was wondering which path is best to take and shorter. thank you?

Welcome to biomedical science. Your question is whether you should pursue a medical specialty or surgical. When you will be third year medical student, you will get a chance to rotate in most of the basic specialties. At that time, you will have more interest in some specialty. Meet with your mentor then. That is a great, however challenging career. The answers will reveal to you as you progress, set realistic goals and follow them to completion, the best path may not be the shortest possible. If you enjoy helping people, you are in the right place.
