Hello, i've has ruq, epigastric pain had a hida scan gb ef was 89%. gi doc recommended i see surgeon, i'm unsure, why would they take out healthy gb?

"They": would not..perhaps your GI Doctor has something else in mind or knows of some other finding that your Scan disclosed...ZIMON RULE #1 IF IN DOUBT ASK!!!!!!!!!!!! Call that GI Doc NOW! Hope this helps Dr Z

I have gerd. Normal hida scan last yr. ruq pain, epigastric pain, chest pain in center, upper back pain. Comes and goes often. Recheck or gerd flare?
