Yes. But you need to follow a diabetic diet. I recommend the DASH diet. Use the app Cronometer and track what you eat. It will help guide you to diabetes goal.

As a guideline, concentrated sweets like candy, pastry,syrups,sugary fruits,etc are to be avoided entirely. Starches like rice,pasta,bread, pizza have to be reduced and if you eat rice, don't also have bread at the same meal.
