A 50-year-old female asked:

My 24 year-old daughter has unexplained bruising around her eyes, severe fatigue, muscle aches, body pain, hot flashes followed by chills, a face rash & swollen neck lymph node. she has repeated high c-reactive protein, but lupus panels are normal?

Has she had a mononucleosis test? Has a rheumatologist been involved in her workup? She may have a type of autoimmune vasculitis. Is her platelet count normal or does she have thrombocytopenia, which can also be autoimmune, and which leads to easy bruising. I feel she requires more testing & an infectious disease specialist consultation.
