A member asked:

What "magic" number is considered low-calorie when dieting and exercising? is it 100 calories and below? 120? 150? i understand that i must burn more calories than i consume, but what is the cutoff number that i should watch for when choosing food?

If you need to lose more than a couple of pounds, 100-150 calorie reduction will not do the trick. It would be preferable to cut your intake by half till you reach your target weight. It may be helpful to consult a nutritionist. Wish you good health!
