Dipstick urine test results vary with urine concentration. If urine is very concentrated (you look at the specificity, the higher specificity the more concentrated) the dipstick test can change from negative to positive.

Are you looking at the same dipstick later in the day or doing a test on a new urine specimen. Urine dipstick needs to be read within the prescribed period and not later. Composition of urine changes during the day with intake of water and food and results can differ from those in the first morning specimen. Wish you good health!
