Dear doc, i have just undergone a thyroidectomy surgery a month ago, but i feel a lot of body fatigue, total exhaustion and my menstrual cycle shifted from 28 to 21 days (after surgery) is this expected?

If you do not have a recent thyroid function check, you need to have it done ASAP.

What you are experiencing is not unusual. I agree that you should have your thyroid functions tested. In addition, need to look at your calcium levels. Did you have just part or all of your thyroid removed? Menstrual cycle changes can occur with changes in other hormones, like thyroid, so yes, this could be a result of changing the amount of thyroid hormone present in your system.
