Possibly normal: Going through surgery is no picnic, it does take a while to recuperate. If your entire thyroid was removed, it takes awhile to normalize your thyroid hormone levels. If only half the gland was removed, there's very little concern about levels. If you lost much blood, that might do it. If you're mostly short of breath, go get looked at, see that your oxygen concentration in the blood is normal.

Yes, can be: There are many reasons to have these feelings after surgery and i tell my patients that you may take several weeks to physically and psychologically recover. It may be too early to check your tsh. They may be lagging behind your true thyroid hormone levels. You should be rechecked after 4-5 weeks after surgery.
