A member asked:

I bought a home from an auction. mold could potentially be underneath the linoleum, under the cupboards or in the walls. could i get some indoor air sampling of mold and rely on that? or should i do invasive/destructive drilling camera inspections?

Because semi-sealed spaces can still grow mold without letting it into the inside air in a high enough concentration to detect, your best option would be to do more invasive inspections to detect mold. A knowledgeable company will target their inspection to areas known to be at high risk such as bathrooms, near faucets, near windows, etc. It is vital to mitigate mold in order to avoid illness.
