How do you treat basal artery narrowing with facial droop symptoms in a person with diabetes and hypertension. aspirin and advil cause severe hemolytic anemia and a constant platelet count of 60-72?

Basal artery stenosis should not cause facial droop. Facial droop is due to seventh nerve paralysis, either peripheral nerve (Bell's palsy) or central nerve (stroke). Aspirin and Ibuprofen (Advil) can cause platelet dysfunction but NSAIDs are rarely the cause of persistent low platelet (thrombocytopenia). Pseudothrombocytopenia due to clump platelets need to be ruled out too.

Do believe that a hematologist is needed to get some of these complexities addressed, as the hemolytic anemia and thrombocytopenia must be fully managed prior to addressing any potential vascular obstruction issues. The facial droop may implicate a prior stroke, and this, with a change in the vertebra-basilar system, may suggest risk. Thus, a team approach is clearly warranted.
