Each insurance company is different in how it covers general anesthesia for patients with severe acute procedural anxiety. Talk to your Dr who can contact your insurance for a Pre Procedure Authorization. If they cover it, they will authorize. If not, they will let you or the Dr know why not.

Absolutely can not get ureteral stent removal or vasectomy without general anesthesia. It's psychological and absolute. How can I get insurance to consider it medically necessary so they will cover general anesthesia? Do have vericolcele. Advice?
Never ever will I have my ureteral stent removed or a vasectomy performed while physically, mentally or psychologically conscious of it . How can it be deemed medically necessary for insurance to cover general anesthesia? It is a must no question?
I refuse a vasectomy with Local Anesthesia and will ONLY do it under General Anesthesia. What reasons could a doctor state for General Anesthesia to be medically necessary for this procedure for insurance to cover when Local is the accepted standard?
