A member asked:

Doctor in the last year, i have had a coloscopy, and a stomach, endoscopy, and ever thing was good except, my doctor said i had gastritis. sometimes black stools, and doctor tell me what you can about follicular non hogkins, i have wbc of 10.9?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Black stools signify bleeding in the upper GI tract unless they're from taking iron or peptobismol. The gastroenterologist must reevaluate your diagnosis and/or treatment or you should get a 2nd opinion. Follicular lymphoma is a slow growing lymphoma which can occur in any part of the body as well as enlarged lymph nodes. An oncologist treats it. Can you have gi tract lymphoma causing bleeding?
