While taking Flagyl (Metronidazole) you should avoid alcohol and anything containing propylene glycol. Flagyl can cause your body to retain potassium, so also avoid eating lots of foods containing high potassium levels including bananas, oranges and leafy greens as well as salt substitutes containing potassium. Make sure you take a probiotic daily, and drink lots of water.
