All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, Cholesterol is not affected by eating before the test, triglycerides and indirectly LDL are. Talk to your doctor about repeating the test after 9-12 hour fast. Wish you good health!
